Teen Parent Program

The Mission of the Teen Parent Program is to assist the teen client, who is both a dependent of the court and a parent, in navigating the dependency system successfully so that they are able to exit the system with custody of their own child(ren) and with the ability to live independently.

The Teen Parent Program seeks to decrease the likelihood of negative outcomes for our teen parents. As an initiative of Children's Advocacy Group, our teen parents are referred to our social workers who conduct a needs assessment of the young parent.

In an effort to place the teen parent on a path to success, the social worker maintains weekly contact with the teen parent to track their progress, provide positive guidance with respect to court orders, and to develop valuable parenting skills.
