The Special Initiatives Fund was developed by Children’s Advocacy Group to fulfill the wishes of our foster youth that go beyond the basic needs of food, shelter, medical care, education and safety provided by the state.

Each year, the fund seeks to preserve the joys of childhood and a critical sense of normalcy for our youth by providing our clients with the opportunity to participate in age-appropriate events, activities, and interests.

The fund has provided everything from school prom attire, clothing for job interviews, toys, holiday gifts, and scientific calculators, to wrestling shoes, and tours of local colleges.
